[Alter] Maeda Keiji

I got my Maeda Keiji last week from CW Toys. As any collector with a nice new camera would do, I took pictures as soon as I got home from Greenhills. And as any collector who is swamped with work would do, I'm posting the pictures a 6 days after I took them.

Better late than never.

One thing I noticed was that the boxed figure was HEAVY. Upon opening, I found out that it was mainly the umbrella that was heavy.

Scantily dressed with only the open kimono to show you that she's supposed to be a samurai, I was not disappointed with her. Alter did a good job with the sculpt and all the fine details -- I guess that's partly the reason why I'm completing the Hyakka Ryouran line.

Those boobs.

The bikini holding her together is actually made of rubber...or at least it feels like it.

That face.

A night shot with my favorite prop: our wall lamp.

And now with a new-found prop: some "Zen" stuff in our garden

Did I mention that her umbrella is huge?

I really love the details in her kimono

[Alter] Momohime

Since I've been meaning to try how my camera fares with taking pictures of my figures, I decided to test it on two lovely ladies: Momohime and Jaina Solo.

This post will feature - as the title implies - Momohime.

I've always been fond of my Momohime figure. Alter did a good job with her sculpt. She comes with extra hands (and sleeves) so you can change one aspect of her pose.

Just look at that face!

I decided use our garden for "added effect." Since her base features rocks and running water, it blended well with our soil and whatever foliage fell on the ground.

And here she is on a pot.

I currently have a 22mm "pancake" lens and primarily used the macro settings of my camera (all else is on auto). I'm pretty happy that my camera takes good pictures of figures and that I can adjust the focus on what I want to emphasize.

...next post will be Jaina.
