New Samurai Figures

With Wonderfest over, we saw the onslaught of new figures that have collectors drooling over... I can almost hear wallets cry in agony for their death sentence.

There were definitely a lot of nice, new figures and my figure-collector friends had quite a number of rants and raves over the multitude of plastic babes, but these anime figures don't really interest me anymore so my good friend - my wallet - is safe.

Or so I thought.

Browsing through sites, I saw what proved to be a dream-come-true and a nightmare-come-to-life at the same time.

17 NEW SAMURAI FIGURES. Yes, 17.

I would get them all, definitely. The only thing that would stop me from doing that is if Seventwo is a GK manufacturer. I don't really like GKs. I would rather get them in PVC (SQEX Vagabond set are an exception).

On another note, I got my Alter x Hobby Japan Hattori Hanzo recently, and Senhime is coming this week~ Hooray for poverty!

EDIT: Added Sanada Yukimura figure~

Ghostbusters FTW!

mattel ghostbusters

I cannot believe they're going to release this!

Recently seen at the SDCC (that's San Diego Comic Convention for you), Mattel will be releasing what seems to be 12" figures of the original Ghostbusters cast! It also seems to come with a $20 price tag for each. Good enough deal, considering that they come with real-cloth clothes.

I just wonder how much they'll be selling those locally, IF they'll be bringing those in.

Thanks to AFI for the picture.

Maybe I'd be powerful if I had these...

Green Lantern Blackest Night Rings

Awesome, right?

I so want this set, White Lantern ring included!!
"Embody the entire emotional spectrum of Blackest Night with this special light-up ring set from DC Direct! Featuring designs authentic to the comic, each of these wearable, adjustable plastic rings (one each in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, white and black) instantly lights up with a long-lasting LED bulb when slipped on a finger. The light can be turned off manually to preserve the battery, and batteries can be changed by using a special key included with the set. Packaged in a deluxe window box, the rings also make a beautiful display when they're not being worn."
They light up when worn!! OMG I think I just shat myself dry. *Gross!*

If you want to make me green (lantern lol) with envy, you can get these lovely rings here.

And what the heck is this supposed to be?

GMA 7's Party Pilipinas (wth is that?) show decided to have a themed opening for their 16th episode aired last July 11 (I think).

Guess what?

They decided to go with Star Wars, 3D, scrolling text and all:

I feel bad.

Props for the 501st Legion Philippine Outpost though!

July Hauls

I have hauls, yes I do!

(Sorry for the pictures.)

Toy hauls Toy hauls Toy hauls
L-R: [Kotobukiya x Koei] Taira no Atsumori, [Hot Toys] Kamui, [Hasbro] Luke Skywalker (Hoth) and Obi-wan Kenobi (A New Hope) Mighty Muggs

Then there's this one:

Toy hauls
[Alter x Hobby Japan] Hattori Hanzo

It was very unfortunate that Hattori Hanzo arrived this month =_= I wasn't expecting her at all so she scraped off a huge chunk of my savings - savings which were supposed to be for Senhime...coming this week!!

Dark times, this is.

Well, I just have to live and spend wisely until the next paycheck comes (which is next month!!!)

One-man a capella sings Pokemon

This is too fun to not share. I watched it like 5 times over and over and I can't stop myself from being amazed every time lol.

So this is a one-man a-capella who goes by the name of Danny Fong. In this video, he sings the theme song of my-ever-so-favorite Pokemon. Do note that everything is voiced by him - piano, drums, guitar sounds alike. If that isn't amazing enough.. I don't know what is!

Okay, there are probably a lot of things that are more amazing than singing, "Pokemon! Gotta catch them all~" a capella... Okay. I digress.

Here's the video and another one of him doing the Teenage Ninja Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song :D

Star Wars Adidas Han Solo

I so can't believe it but it's here!!

Star Wars Adidas Han Solo

They will be releasing a Han Solo design for the Fall/Winter 2010 Star Wars X Adidas collection~ I so have to own this. It's Han Solo!

No, that's actually Han Solo in Carbonite Block. And I love what they did to this picture:

Star Wars Adidas Han Solo

I am super excited. I hope that that guy from the Adidas store where I got my Slave Leia and X-Wings will text me ON TIME about this. (Yeah, I left my number at the store for updates. Dork, I know.)

Thanks to the guys at PTK...where I saw this lol.

Sasaki Kojiro Photoshoot

[Square Enix] Sasaki Kojiro
From: Vagabond
Scale: None
Price: Y19,950
Release Date: October 2009

Sasaki Kojiro is by far my favorite among the three Square Enix Vagabond statues. He's colorful and the way they painted his clothes are just so awesome. The details are superb - down to the last petal!

His pose is on the.. boring side though. Seijuro still wins best pose for me, but I guess how Square Enix did Kojiro's pose is reminiscent to how he actually is in the manga. Oh yeah, he's also the tallest among the three Vagabond statues that I have ^_^

My dad took pictures of Sasaki Kojiro the same day that he took pictures of Isoroku Yamamoto. So~ here they are~
